Getting to school just got awesome!

Do you want to save money, get healthier and protect the environment? Cycling to school is a great place to start! This year, Cycle to School Week took place between Monday 23 – Friday 27 September

In 2024 we had a record 163,003 pledges from 807 individuals and 542 schools

We also had lots of visits from MPs and local councillors, including Secretary of State for Transport Louise Haigh, who went to see some Bikeability training in Preston. She was accompanied by Chris Boardman from Active Travel England.

After the visit, Haigh said “Learning to cycle confidently and safely is so important, and it was great to hear so much enthusiasm from a new generation of cyclists.”

Cycle to School Week 2024 was supported by NatWest Rooster Money. Just like everyone at Bikeability, they believe in reinforcing positive behaviours from a young age, to instill confidence and independence. Find out more about NatWest Rooster Money and give your kids a head start with finances.
