bikeability.org.uk is maintained for your personal use and viewing. The access and use of bikeability.org.uk featuring these Terms and Conditions constitutes your acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. They take effect from the date on which you first use this website.

You agree to use this site only for lawful purposes, and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of, or restrict or inhibit the use and enjoyment of, this site by any third party. Such restriction or inhibition includes, without limitation, conduct which is unlawful, or which may harass or cause distress or inconvenience to any person, and the transmission of obscene content or disruption of normal flow of dialogue within this site.

If we waive any rights available to us under these Terms and Conditions on one occasion, this does not mean that those rights will automatically be waived on any other occasion.

If any of these Terms and Conditions are held to be invalid, unenforceable or illegal for any reason, the remaining Terms and Conditions shall nevertheless continue in full force.

Competition Terms and Conditions

#CYCLEMORE2020

The Promotion

1. This Promotion (the “Promotion”) is organised and hosted by The Bikeability Trust

2. The Promotion will run from 27th July 2020 up to and including 31st August 2020 (the “Promotional Period”)

3. The Promotion is open to all residents of England and Wales, aged over 18 or with the consent of a parent or guardian aged over 18. Employees and Trustees of the Bikeability Trust are able to enter the Promotion, but they will not be eligible to win.

Entry Requirements

4. To enter, participants must submit at least 1 image and a maximum of 100 words, describing why they love cycling, in response to the #CycleMore2020 campaign

5. The participant must warrant that the photograph they are submitting is their own work and that they own the copyright for it

6. It is the responsibility of each entrant to ensure that any images they submit which include an identifiable person or persons have been taken with the permission of the person or persons pictured and do not infringe the copyright of any third party or any laws

7. Any images which encourage unsafe or irresponsible cycling will be disqualified from the Promotion

The Prize

8. The winning participant (“The Prize Winner”) will win a £250 Love2Shop voucher (“The Prize”)

9. The Prize is non-transferable and can not be exchanged for cash or an alternative prize

10. The winning participant (“The Prize Winner”) will be chosen by an independent panel of judges, appointed by the Bikeability Trust. All qualifying photos will be judged on adherence to the Promotion challenge through its message clarity, composition and overall presentation. Their decision is final.

11. The Prize Winner will be chosen and contacted via social media within 30 days of the closing date on 31st August 2020. The Prize Winner will then have 30 days to respond and claim their prize. If there is no response after 30 days, a new Prize Winner will be chosen and contacted.

Promotional Rights

12. By submitting their photo and caption to The Promotion, participants agree to grant the Bikeability Trust the right to free reproduction and exhibition of the image and wording in all media to promote the Bikeability Trust’s work. Photographers will be credited if an image is used. The copyright of photographs remains with the photographer.

13. Participants may be asked to take part in publicity activities, but their acceptance is not a requirement of the Promotion

14. Submission of an entry will be taken to mean acceptance of these Terms and Conditions

OUR BIKES OUR ADVENTURE COMPETITION 2019

To win a Carrera Saruna Junior Hybrid Bike worth £230 8th August to 10th September 2019

1.This Promotion is organised by the Bikeability Trust (“Bikeability Trust” or the “Promoter”).

2.The Start date of the Promotion is 8th August 2019, and the End date is 10th September 2019.

3.By participating in the Promotion an entrant agrees to be bound by these terms and conditions and additional terms and conditions incorporated within the Promotion material or email correspondence.

4.Any entries using, or suspected of using, automated entry software or any other mechanical or electronic means which allow any individual to sign up to competition repeatedly will not be permitted. All such entries will be disqualified.

5. On the following date one entrant will be drawn at random. The entrant who is selected on this date will receive the Prize (the entrant will be known as a “Winner”). The prize draw date will be: Week commencing 16th September (this date will be known individually as a “Draw Date”)

6.The Winner will be contacted via the email address provided within 14 days after the end of the Draw Date (the “Initial Contact”).

7.If the Winner does not respond to the Initial Contact within 14 days, a further chasing email will be sent to remind the Winner of their Prize. Additional terms and conditions will apply to the Winner. A copy of these terms is available on request and will also be sent to each Winner.

8.The Prize is subject to availability and cannot be exchanged or refunded but the Bikeability Trust reserves the right to substitute an alternative Prize of at least equal value at its sole discretion. There is no cash alternative for the Prize.

9.No additional offers or promotions can be used in relation to, or in conjunction with, the Prize.

10.The Bikeability Trust reserves the right to suspend, cancel or amend the Promotion and/or review and revise these terms and conditions at any time without giving prior notice. By taking part in this Promotion an entrant agrees to be bound by any such new or amended terms.

11.The Bikeability Trust is not liable for any loss or damage whatsoever caused by matters relating to the Promotion. The Bikeability Trust does not accept any responsibility or liability for any damage, loss, injury or disappointment suffered by any entrant entering this Promotion or as a result of accepting any Prize. Notwithstanding the preceding sentence, nothing shall exclude the Bikeability Trusts’ liability for death or personal injury as a result of its negligence.

12.Any personal data relating to entrants will be used wholly in accordance with current UK data protection legislation. In particular, personal data will be used solely to administer this Promotion and for no other purpose(s). Personal data provided will not be distributed or sold on to any third parties.

BIKE TO SCHOOL WEEK COMPETITION 2019

To win a new Carrera Abyss 24 inch wheel suitable for 8 – 9 years old. 27th August to 30th September 2019
